Extremal Control of a Heavy Current Betatron with Exterior Injection,

Abstract

In order to increase the average intensity of the gamma radiation of a betatron, the problem arises of the choice and maintenance of such values of the input parameters (voltage on the windings of the electromagnet, injection voltage, filament current of the injector cathode, and others), by which maximum intensity of the gamma bremsstrahlung is assured. This problem is solved by use of a controller of the extremal type, operating in a tracking regime. The effectiveness is examined of the use of stochastic algorithms for construction of an extremal controller for a betatron. (Author)
