Physicochemical Properties of Glasses of the BaO-PbO-B2O3-TiO2 System,

Abstract

The goal of the work reported was the study of the physicochemical and optical properties of certain glasses in the system BaO-PbO-B2O3-Bi2O3-TiO2. The following properties were determined: Vitrification region in the system BaO-PbO-B2O3-Bi2O3-TiO2; Chemical resistance of the glasses to water; Coefficients of thermal expansion and softening points; Light refraction coefficients; and Density.
