Broadband Combinable Module for UHF Amplification.

Abstract

Using broadband stripline techniques, a 2N6266 driver amplifier was designed and constructed. The amplifier produced 10 plus or minus 0.9-dB power gain with 43- to 55-percent collector efficiency and a maximum input VSWR of 3.4:1 at 28 volts V(CC) and 1 watt of input power from 620 to 960 megahertz. Using similar techniques, a 2N6267 power amplifier was designed and constructed. The amplifier produced 8.0 plus or minus 0.5-dB power gain with 42- to 55-percent collector efficiency and a maximum input VSWR of 2.5:1 at 28 volts V(CC) and 2.5 watts of input power from 620 to 960 megahertz.
