The Viscosity of Molten CsCl-LiCl Mixtures,

Abstract

The viscosity of the molten mixture. CsCl-LiCl was investigated by a torsion-pendulum technique using a Pt sphere. The temperature dependence of the viscosity was measured for the compositions: 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 55, and 70 mole percent LiCl. The viscosity isotherms for 900, 950, 1000, 1050 K show a maximum at approximate 10 mole percent LiCl and a min. at 70-90 mole percent LiCl. The additivity rule is obeyed in the interval 20-40 mole percent LiCl. (Author)
