The Method of Electroprofiling with the Utilization of Natural Electromagnetic Fields,

Abstract

The article gives a description of a new method of electroprofiling developed by the authors as a result of investigations of the features of natural electromagnetic fields, in the subsonic frequency range. A description, basic data, and block diagram are given for the 'Argun' field device which is intended for the measurement of the amplitude value, averaged over an interval of 20s, of the intensity of the electric component of a natural electro-magnetic field at a frequency of 16 plus or minus 1.5 Hz. The method of electrical prospecting based on such measurements is proposed to be called the method of variable natural electric field. (Author)
