Application of Multiprocessor Computer Complexes in Management,

Abstract

The application of multiprocessor complexes in management systems provides a solution to a number of fundamental problems involving the use of computers in this area. Greater use of the computational capacity of the individual computers is secured and, thus, higher machine productivity. In addition, a malfunctioning computer can be backed up by a computer of identical type which is not linked territorially with the facility under control. This last is a decisive factor and one which is difficult to overestimate. The use of multiprocessor complexes results in reduced initial expenditures and greater customer convenience in his dealings with computer technology.
