Generalized Equivalence Circuit for Converters with Traveling Magnetic Field,

Abstract

A description is given of the expanded equivalent circuit of an electromechanical or magnetohydrodynamic converter with a traveling magnetic field in the form of a stage of four-pole networks equivalent to individual structural elements regarded as plane layers. This circuit can be easily resolved to a familiar generalized equivalent circuit for an electric machine. The expanded equivalent circuit is conventient to use in the analysis of the effect exerted by individual structural elements. Using this circuit, a study was made of the influence of channel walls on the parameters of a linear synchronous converter. (Author)
