The Thermodynamics of Systems for Direct Transformation on Thermal Energy into Electrical. Part II.,

Abstract

The authors examined the ideal thermodynamic cycle of a system for direct transformation of thermal energy into electrical, with consideration of the simultaneity of the change in temperature and potential in the branches of the system. For these conditions the authors have obtained equations of the volt-ampere characteristics. The question of the connection between the thermoelectric coefficients was also examined. Generalized correlections were obtained between the Peltier and Thomson thermoelectromotive force coefficients. It has been shown that the presently accepted representation of the coefficient of thermoelectromotive force is not universal. (Author)
