Heat Treatment Experiments with Cutting Tools Made of High-Capacity RGK 69 High-Speed Steel,

Abstract

The Institute of Machine Building Technology has developed a type of super HSS suitable for making high capacity metal cutting tools, which secures besides a hardness of 69 70 HRC a high tenacity and resistance to wear. The optimal parameters of heat treatment of the various forged or cast to size metal cutting tools were chosen according to the properties of the material to be machined. (Author)
