A Method of Synthesis of a Digital Aggregate of Variable Structure,
Abstract
A scheme is proposed for a digital unit of variable structure in an all purpose digital selection system. In using the all purpose digital selection circuit for construction of a circuit of variable structure the author connects a special high speed and highly reliable commutator to the commutation points of the universal digital selection circuit. The commutator permits automatic variation in structure of the functional assembly both before beginning operation and during the operating process. The possibility of automatic incorporation of one functional unit into any other with required accuracy permits realization of flexible systems. It is also easy to construct systems capable of self organization from the variable structure units. (Author)
