Evaluation of Automated TRACON Functions.
Abstract
A dynamic simulation study was conducted to evaluate the relative merits of various functional levels of automation as applied to a terminal area radar facility. Data were collected on various system performance and controller workload measures in a simulated present-day environment and compared with data collected when building block packages of functional levels of automated capability were incorporated.
