A Recommended Procedure for Assessing the Stress Corrosion Cracking Susceptibility of 5000-Series Aluminum Alloy Sheet.

Abstract

A simple method has been developed for testing of stress-corrosion cracking susceptibility of 5000-series aluminum alloy sheet. This new method uses a wedge which is emplaced to provide a load on a precracked specimen. (Author)
