Energy Distribution Curves of Photoelectrons Emitted by Solutions.

Abstract

A method is described for the determination of the energy distribution curves of photoelectrons emitted by solutions of sufficiently low vapor pressure. Results are reported and analyzed qualitatively for emission by lithium ferrocyanide in glycerol. The method allows the study of energy transfer during the motion of quasi-free electrons in polar liquids of low vapor pressure, and generation of quasi-free electrons by optical excitation.
