Flight Test of an Ocean Color Measuring System.

Abstract

The WISP IV instrument has been successfully installed and flight tested in a light aircraft along with auxiliary instruments. Data acquired to date by the WISP and water color spectrometer (WCS) have substantiated the scientific merit and operational potential of the WISP concept and system respectively. A preliminary program has been written and tested which will produce density maps from appropriate WISP data, and upgrading of this program has been initiated. Experience with the WISP IV system has already been used in the design and construction of a bread board model of a new WISP system.
