Abstract

The article describes a series of papers concerning the mechanics of deformed solids which were presented at the Scientific Research Seminar of the Theory of Elasticity Department under the direction of A. A. Il'yushin, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The articles of the collection are divided into four sections: 'Elasticity,' 'Plasticity,' 'Viscoelasticity,' and 'Physical Mechanics.'
