Nonlinear Evolution of Whistler Instabilities.

Abstract

Theoretical and computer simulation studies of whistler instabilities in anisotropic collisionless plasmas are presented. Initial bi-Maxwellian, Maxwellian with loss cone, and hot Maxwellian superimposed on a more dense cold isotropic background electron distributions were used. (Author)
