Arctic Technology Development at the University of Washington

Abstract

A synopsis of the sponsored arctic technology development at the University of Washington is presented. This includes a description of technical management activities, a description of several concepts for new arctic technology, and a description of the development and successful arctic operation of an under-ice research submersible (UARS). An appendix gives a complete technological description of the UARS system.
