RESALE-2, CO2, and INHALE,

Abstract

The report describes three alterations to the RESALE computer program. First, computer code RESALE-2 is described. This new code determines spectrally the radiative power from a gas into a detector or monochromator. The gas may have arbitrary optical thickness with either positive or negative gain, and the spectral lines may have a Voigt profile. Second, data and their sources are presented for the spectroscopic and line broadening constants required for a RESALE-1 calculation of lasing power on the 10.6 micrometer band of CO2. Finally, computer code INHALE is described. This new input routine greatly simplifies the use of the RESALE program. (Author)
