On the Computation of Foundation Settlements on Thawing Soil Bases,
Abstract
The report presents the physical basis for a method of calculating the relative contraction of thawed permafrost under the foundation and melted water-saturated soils according to their physical characteristics without conducting field tests of the soil with test loads in laboratory research on compressor instruments, and also an example is given of calculating final settling of the foundation of buildings and installations.
