Standing Striations as Solutions of the Pekarek Equation,

Abstract

An analysis is presented of a solution of the Pekarek equation allowing for the boundary conditions of a finite length positive column. Results are compared with experiments in nitrogen and in mercury-vapor discharges. (Author)
