Radiation Properties of a High-Temperature Layer of Soot Particles,

Abstract

The integral degree of blackness of soot particles is used as the properties for investigating industrial luminous flares and for calculating the heat exchange. Experimentally the integral degree of darkness of the flare is determined by the method of total radiation. The purpose of the present article is to establish the character of the relationship between the integral and the spectral characteristics of the layer of soot particles with respect to the conditions of a high-temperature industrial flare, and also the distribution of the spectral intensity of radiation in such a flare.
