Some Aspects of Recent Contributions to the Mathematical Theory of Finite Elements,

Abstract

A discussion of a number of recent contributions to the mathematical theory of finite elements is given, with emphasis on results connected with convergence and error analysis. An attempt is made to illustrate general methods-of-attack of these questions for elliptic problems and to put into perspective certain theoretical results recently published. (Author)
