Investigations of the Long Term Frequency Stability of Stable Laser Structures.

Abstract

The authors try to isolate the different sources that may be responsible for the long term drift of He-Ne laser structures. This drift, amounting to several MHz per day is most likely due to fundamental material instabilities and changes in the refractive index of the gaseous medium.
