Slot Line Investigations.

Abstract

The slot line, since it was first proposed by Cristal et al in 1968, has been the subject of a continuing research effort in the microwave field. Some of the research effort is described herein, including difficulties encountered in slot line fabrication, and the design and construction of a slot line VSWR jig. Measurements of slot wavelength are presented with a comparison made to theoretical values. The results of VSWR measurements are also presented. Experimental work was performed in the 1GHz to 12GHz frequency range. (Author)
