Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Ordnance Systems.

Abstract

The report represents a draft of a specification designed to establish electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for ordnance systems. This specification contains improvements over previous specifications in several areas. These areas include strengthening the inter-system responsibilities of the contractor, identifying in detail how the Navy would be expected to support procurement efforts, clarifying the manner in which the contractor is to apply an Intra-System Acceptance Criterion, guiding the contractor in his analysis of intra-system and inter-system performance. Other areas are also considered. The specification provides guidance during the proposal phase and shall be applied during concept formulation, definition, development, evaluation, and production phases of the system life cycle.
