Calibration of the AEDC-PWT Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel (4T) Mach Numbers 1.6 and 2.0 Nozzle Blocks.

Abstract

Tests were conducted in the AEDC Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel (4T) to determine the tunnel calibration and centerline Mach number distributions for the Mach numbers 1.6 and 2.0 nozzle blocks. During the test, the plenum suction was varied either through the use of auxiliary suction or diffuser flap suction. The test section porosity was varied over the maximum range from 0 to 10-percent-open wall area, and the wall angle was varied from -0.25 to 0.66 deg. The stagnation pressure level was maintained at 2000 psfa, and the stagnation temperature was varied in the range from 100 to 150F. The humidity level was held as low as 0.0006 lb of water per pound of air. (Author)
