Growth in Works on Isotopic Power in the USSR

Abstract

The article gives data concerned with developing isotopic thermoelectric generators in the USSR to be used as the power supply of oceanographic and navigational devices, hydrographic stations, high-mountain stations dealing with cosmic rays, and other scientific research stations and devices of ground-based purpose. Scientific and technical bases for the creation of such power sources are examined, and characteristics of some models of the generators are given.
