Certain Results of a Cinematographic Study of Bulk Boiling,

Abstract

Modern ideas on the boiling process are based on the surface mechanism of heat exchange between a heat-releasing surface and a fluid heat-receiving coolant. Boiling bubbles can form at the surface or in the liquid. If in the liquid, the boiling is called bulk boiling. The purpose of the paper was to confirm, by motion-picture studies, the possibility of the realization of bulk boiling.
