Application of Iron-Containing Catalysts for the Hydrorefining of Lubricating Oils,

Abstract

The effect of catalyst composition on the hydrofining of Romashkino petroleum fraction prerefined with furfural and dewaxed with Me2CO-C6H6 PhMe was studied. Three groups of catalysts were studied: Catalysts containing approximately 10% MoO3, 1-3.5% CoO, and 1.3-15% Fe; Catalysts with decreased content of Mo and Co (2.5-4.5% MoO3 and 0.9% CoO) or without CoO, but containing 7.0-14.2% Fe2O3 and additives (5-15% SiO2; 0.2% K2CO3, 1.0-2.0% BaO; 0.9-2.0% F; 0.4% PbO; 1.1% Ca); Catalysts containing no Mo and Co, but with 10-15% Fe2O3 and additives (0.6-2.0% K2CO3; 2.0-3.0% F; 0.4-0.8% PbO; 1.0% CuO; 3.04% CaF2; 10.0% SiO2).
