Note on a Tukey Test for Ordered Alternatives.

Abstract

In the paper the authors show that a rank test proposed by Tukey (1957), for detecting ordered alternatives among k treatments in a randomized block design, is equivalent to a generalized sign test. The test is quick and simple to compute but its efficiency is shown to decrease rapidly as k increases. (Author)
