Stability of Three-Layer Plates with an Elastoviscous Core Subject to Time-Dependent Loads,

Abstract

Based on the technical theory of three layer plates, the authors discuss the stability of a flat panel whose load bearing layers and filler are made from materials subject to creeping. The latter is described by the linear heredity law. The authors derive the equations for the durative and instantaneous limits of stability, in addition to discussing a numerical example and constructing graphs for the change in bending under the influence of a compressing load.
