The Basic Parameters of Lines and Bands in the Vibrational Spectra of Raman Scattering and Infrared Absorption of Tetramethoxysilane, Methylmethoxysilanes, and Some of Their Deuteroderivatives,

Abstract

Measurements are made of frequencies, integral intensities, degrees of depolarization and halfwidth of the lines of Raman scattering, the positions of bands, and integral intensities in the spectra of infrared absorption of (CH3)(n)Si(OCH3)(4-n) (n = 0-3) and some of their deuteroderivatives. The interpretation of vibrational spectra is given. For Stokes waves of symmetrical vibrations v(s)(Si-C) the absolute cross sections of spontaneous Raman scattering at the exciting wave of mercury light 4358 A and the wave of a ruby laser 6943 A have been determined.
