Approximation Method for the Calculation of Temperature in a Microcircuit

Abstract

An approximation method is given for calculating the temperature distribution on the support for an integral microcircuit when there is a large number of heat-releasing sources on the support and the knowledge of the average surface temperature of the support is insufficient. Formulas and graphs are given and on the basis of their explanation a sequence is given for the approximate computation of temperatures in a microcircuit. The results are compared with data obtained on a computer and from an experiment.
