Interaction of Plastic and Ductile Deformation under Cyclic Loading,

Abstract

Results are given which were obtained during torsion tests with samples from perlite steel 38KhA under constant temperature T = 500 degrees and cyclic elasto-plastic deformation with and without creep. It is shown that under the conditions of cyclic creep every new application of stress leads to emergence of the first creep phase. The varying effect of creep on the pattern of cyclic deformation is stressed: in some cases, cyclic hardening is observed, and in others -- softening. (Author)
