The Abrasive Wear Resistance of Vacuum-Condensed Coatings,

Abstract

A method is developed for the preparation and investigation of the abrasive wear resistance of high strength vacuum condensates. The electroplatings are studied simultaneously with the condensed chrome films. It is shown that vacuum chrome coatings possess the highest wear and heat resistance. The wear resistance of condensates may vary within broad intervals by means of changing condensation conditions. (Author)
