The Anisothermal Problem of the Hydrodynamic Theory of Lubrication of a Thrust Bearing with Nondeformed and Deformed Pad,

Abstract

The approximate solution of the problem of complex consideration of influence of pad deformation and changes in viscosity along the layer in operation of a bearing has been presented. The dependence of dimensionless coefficients of mean specific load, of minimal thickness of the lubricating layer, and of friction losses in the lubricating layer upon relative sharpness of the wedge and on relative change in viscosity along the length of the layer was obtained.
