LWIR (Long Wavelentth Infra Red) Atmospheric Transmission Measurements using Aircraftborne Interferometric Instrumentation.

Abstract

The work performed under this contract consisted of the design and fabrication of a calibration system and a temperature control system to be installed on an airborne interferometer. A heliostat and interferometer system was calibrated and operated on-board a KC-135 research aircraft during several flights for the purpose of initial check out and in-flight testing. The data gathered were reduced to spectra for evaluation of the overall system performance. (Author)
