Sonar Array Studies.

Abstract

The basic design guidelines are presented for curved faced projectors. Work during this first quarter has been concentrated on the temperature and heat dissipation characteristics of ceramics used in constructing high frequency projectors. A temperature model for a ceramic element has been developed and is given along with preliminary experimental data. Surplus sonar transmitting equipment has been modified and will be used along with special test staves to determine experimentally the average power-temperature-ceramic facial area relationship.
