Two-Phase Nozzle Flow (Gas-Solid).

Abstract

A numerical method, requiring the use of a computer, is developed to determine mass flow rates in two-phase (gas-solid) rocket nozzle flow. In addition to the conservation equations of total mass, momentum, and energy, a particle energy equation and equation of motion are included in the analysis. The selection of appropriate particle drag coefficients and convective heat transfer coefficients is a primary consideration in the successful utilization of the method. (Author)
