'In Vitro' Analysis of Platelet Function during Storage of Platelets from Plasmapheresed Donors.

Abstract

Human platelet concentrates from plasmapheresed donors were stored for 3 days. Room temperture and cold were compared by several in vitro functional assays. The two units obtained from an individual plasmapheresed donor were shown to be functionally different. For comparison in storage studies, these differences could be corrected by pooling and reseparation of the two paired units. (Author)
