The Stereochemistry of Certain Cyclic Fragmentations.
Abstract
The purpose of the research project discussed was to gain a fuller understanding of the control wielded by orbital symmetry over cyclic fragmentations, and thus over their retro-counterparts, cycloadditions. The general plan was to synthesize certain ring systems and to study their thermal and/or photochemical fragmentation with particular regard to stereochemistry. (Author)
