Interfacial Chemical Reactions in Flow Systems.

Abstract

A summary is given of progress and research results obtained under the contract together with a listing of 11 publications resulting from the program. Areas included are nucleation in boundary layers, droplet evaporation and combustion, diffusion limited sphere growth/dissolution, apparent kinetics of surface reactions influenced by fluid phase or solid phase diffusion, dissolution of nitrogen in refractory metals, and aerosol production and dispersion downstream of oxidizing filaments.
