Activated Chemisorption of Molecules,

Abstract

Dissociative chemisorption of polyatomic gases on crystal surfaces has long been reported as a slow process. Using molecular beam techniques, the authors have investigated the adsorption of methane on clean rhodium surfaces and provided a clue to the mechanism of activation. (Author)
