A Technique for Obtaining the Transfer Function Specified by the Impulse Response of an Inert Linear Sequential Machine,

Abstract

The report presents a method of determining the impulse response from the transfer function of a linear sequential machine, using the coefficients of the delay operators of the transfer function and the outputs of the impulse response that have been progressively computed by the technique. The report also discusses a technique with which one can determine the transfer function or transfer functions specified by an arbitrary impulse response.
