Evaluation of the Navy Basic Electricity and Electronics Course Individualized Learning System (BEEINLES).

Abstract

The investigation was designed to evaluate the Basic Electricity and Electronics Individualized Learning System (BEEINLES) Course in terms of its training effectiveness and of its technical, operational and financial feasibility. The available evidence indicates that BEEINLES achieves its pruported learning goals at least as effectively as the previous conventional BE/E Course. Additionally savings which should prevail when INLES is appropriately applied to other training contexts. Despite demonstrable training benefits BEEINLES does not represent the ultimate realization of individualized training concepts. Specific aspects of the course warrant further development, evaluation, and refinement to insure their optimal utility. (Author)
