Abstract
The report, covering research for the period 1 May-31 July 1972 includes: (1) fatigue crack growth in helium-implanted stainless steel, (2) heavy ion damage studies, (3) neutron irradiation effects on fatigue crack growth in stainless steels, (4) exploratory assessments of postirradiation fracture extension resistance, and (5) the J-integral and R-curve characteristics of irradiated stainless steel.
