Theoretical Rate Constants for the Formation and Decomposition of Chlorinated Ethyl Radicals.

Abstract

The rates of decomposition have been calculated for the series of chemically activated chloroethyl radicals, C2H(x)Cl(5-x). It was found that, apart from some discrepancies that appear to be experimental error, the calculated and observed literature values are in good agreement and support the usefulness of RRKM theory.
