On the Theory of Stopping of Fast Charged Particles

Abstract

One of the main difficulties in the theoretical estimates of the stopping power according to Eq, (1) is our inadequate knowledge of the oscillator strength fq and the corresponding excitation energies Iq. The problem has been solved by Bethe [6-7] and Moller [8] in case of hydrogen.
