Lining of Hydrostatic Bearings with Self-Setting Plastic AST-T,

Abstract

Self curing AST-T resin had good antifriction properties, wear resistance and adhesion to steel, brass, and Al, and was therefore suited for lining hydrostatic bearings. Adhesion of AST-T to steel was improved by adding 20% methacrylic acid to the composition, but decreased with 30% graphite or powdered Al fillers. (Author)
