Evaluation of the Role of the Objective Lens in Contrast Sensitivity of a Vidicon Camera,

Abstract

An analysis is made of the losses of signal of a vidicon tube which are conditioned by optical losses in the objective lenses of the transmitting camera during the transmission of small objects of various nature (dots, lines group of lines). It is concluded that a significant role in the transmission of small objects is played by the objective lens. The optical losses in the objective depend not only on the dimensions of the small object transmitted, but also on its nature. (Author)
